2020-2021 Guidelines and Reopening Information

Back-to-School Guidelines

The following plan to reopen school has been developed based on guidelines and requirements provided by the Southeastern California Conference (SECC) Office of Education. The Office of Education guidelines are based on the best and most current health information known as of the latest revision date of this document. These guidelines follow the CDC, the American Academy of Pediatrics, California state education and public health departments, and local county recommendations.
As new guidance and practices become available, updates will be communicated to parents. Any future decision in regard to discontinuing on-site instruction at Loma Linda Academy will be made based on the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health directives and guidance from the Southeastern California Conference Office of Education.
The most current videos and important announcements will be at the top of this page. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

LLA Update from Thursday, July 23, 2020:

Greetings LLA Family,

The video below will provide more information about the education offered at LLA next year. The new Swivl technology will be an advantage to instruction whether a student is at home with distance learning or on campus. As you know, it is our plan, hope, and desire to offer on campus education. However, the Governor’s statement last week does apply to us. In short, if on August 10, San Bernardino County is still on the watch list, we will be required to start with distance learning on August 24. Please keep in mind that if this is the case, we will start on campus instruction as soon as our county has met the state’s requirement of being off the monitoring list for 14 straight days. When we return to offering on-campus instruction, distance learning will still be available and continue as an option for the entire school year.

Our ultimate goal is to offer you a hi-flex option. This will allow each family to choose either on-campus instruction, or Loma Linda Academy designed, live full day, distance education. We are pursuing all possible angles to make this a reality.

We will continue to do all we can to provide quality education for your children and keep you informed of the latest information as it becomes available.

Thank you. Enjoy the video.
